Diabetes and disability

Hi, I have an incomplete spinal cord injury, had it for nearly 3 years, I was told at Christmas I had diabetes, hb1ac of 6.8. Was started on metformin but gave me really bad runs, as I have bladder/bowel issues I stopped taking it, started on diet and more exercise even though I have limited mobility and went back to gp last week and now it’s 5.8, I’m really pleased esp having disability, I’ve lost 1and 1/2 stone too, just shows even with a disability there can be a positive outcome, I don’t need to see gp for 12 months now! Thanks guys

Congratulations @Bustersdaddy youve done amazing. You’ve clearly worked hard to turn things around for yourself and even more impressive as you have a disability which affected you being able to take the Metformin and made it harder to exercise.
Give yourself a well deserved pat on the back excellent results and in a short time too.
